HIRC is a nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening healthcare supply chains and improving patient care through collaboration, transparency, and resiliency. Formed in 2019 by leading health systems such as the Mayo Clinic and Corewell Health, HIRC brings providers, suppliers, and industry partners together to develop best practices and standards for a stronger, more reliable supply chain.

HIRC has grown to include over 90 organizations across the industry. The group is focused on creating a healthier healthcare ecosystem where transparency and collaboration benefit providers and patients alike.

What is the Transparency Badge?

The HIRC Transparency Badge is a nationally recognized designation awarded to suppliers who demonstrate clear, open practices with their customers. Earning this badge signals a supplier’s commitment to building trust and strengthening partnerships.

To qualify, companies must meet HIRC’s transparency standards, provide supporting documentation, and renew their qualification annually to ensure accountability. For providers, the badge is a meaningful differentiator to identify suppliers who operate with honesty and integrity, especially in today’s complex and competitive environment.
